ChalupSKi and OneDesigns, our company, share some common ground together.

Our families were active members of the Durban Life Saving club and we manufacture our products using the same state of the art factories, sharing the same attention to detail and quality in our products.

It was only a natural coming together that we were perfectly situated in Marsden Cove, New Zealand to be the home for the ChalupSKI surfski range.

We are taking the surfski and paddling sport to new heights in the NZ market and can't wait to meet all our new customers.

ChalupSki Surfski, developed by Oscar Chalupsky, 12x World Champion – Where Stability Meets Performance

At ChalupSKI, we believe that stability comes before ability. That principle has guided my journey from building my first surfski at age 14 in 1976, to designing a new generation of skis for paddlers of every level.

The original ChalupSKI surfski became the first mass-produced long-distance ski — a design that took me to 7 Molokai World Championship titles and helped revolutionize surfski paddling. Since then, I’ve contributed to iconic brands like Fenn, co-founded Epic Kayaks with Olympic champion Greg Barton, and collaborated with Nelo to push innovation further. Every lesson from that journey has led to this: the launch of ChalupSki Surfski.
